Hannah + Josh - A Chicago, Illinois Engagement Session

Hannah booked me for her upcoming wedding + when she found out engagement sessions are included in my packages, she asked if I’d be willing to make the drive from Indy to Chicago for a little extra. They live there but are getting married at their family lake house here in Indiana. They wanted to incorporate their current city in their photos + I was super excited they asked to do this. I was born in Illinois but haven’t been to Chicago many times, and every time I had gone before this it was in the winter. Traffic was absolutely awful up 65N on the way there, but it was certainly worth it to see some new spots, get some great photos, and have these two show me a little bit about their lives and where they got engaged!

These two grew up together and you can certainly tell they have a history by the way their interact with each other. My husband and I were high school sweethearts so I love meeting other couples that have been together a long time and met at a young age.

They moved from North Carolina, where they grew up, to Chicago for Hannah’s interior design job, which is so cool. It was so lovely to chat and get to know these two before their wedding this year. I am excited to share this unique session with you guys. And as far as Chicago goes, the drive was a pain, but I’d do it again for photos like these.
