Hannah + Evan Behmlander - a Columbus Indiana wedding at the Commons

When it came time for Hannah + Evan’s wedding I was so excited. They did two engagement sessions with me before their wedding day. One engagement session is included in my wedding packages, but they decided to do a second with me as well. This gave me the opportunity to get to know them both and how their personalities meshed together so well.

Their ceremony took place at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour Indiana. These two opted not to do a first look before their ceremony so this blog highlights that option! They instead wrote letters to each other and read them alone before the ceremony. I loved this, it was a very intimate and personal moment they could “share” before the ceremony.

She did however do a first look with her dad and stepdad, which is featured below.

After family pictures at the church post-ceremony. We traveled to Downtown Columbus Indiana where their venue, The Commons, was located. We parked the party bus about a block or two from the venue and did portraits, as well as a champagne pop. These images were stunning and everyone was ready to head to the reception to party.

Their venue was beautiful with glass window walls that let in lots of light, but allowed for natural darkness after the sunset. But before it got dark, we snuck out to grab some more portraits at the end of dinner, which I always reccomend my couples do! We got lots of cool images on the venue’s patio, as well as the blocks around the venue. There was many great options! Even with a street fair going on outside the venue, there was still plenty of portrait spots to pick from around Columbus.

These two were absolutely radiant their entire wedding day and it truly shows in their wedding pictures. I hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as I do!
