A Golden Summer Maternity Session with Stacie + Ryan

okay, okay, okay… these were actually taken in July of 2023… however I’ve been desperately meaning to get these on the blog. Some of you may know I had my own daughter in August of 2023 so a lot of things have been waiting to make it on the blog. I loooove sharing entire sessions on the blog so I am not gonna miss the chance to share this one.

Stacie is a great friend of mine + we actually had the same due date for our sweet babies, which brought us closer over 2023. We actually found out we had the same due date when she texted me about doing their maternity session right after she found out she was pregnant! It was so awesome!

She had a vision for this session from the very start, sending me ideas from our first trimester. She also did a stunning solo session with her other photographer friend, Kelly, which were stunning so I knew we were gonna have fun with these as well!

I am not one to shoot a ton of maternity, so it always makes me a little nervous, but Stacie and Ryan always make my job easy. Stacie has a past in modeling and you can certainly tell, she’s a natural in front of the camera. (She should totally be an influencer, shouldn’t she?!)

We had to reschedule this because of rain so many times, which I hate, but we REALLY wanted that golden hour for her vision. Thankfully this evening paid off, July 4 actually. And thank goodness we did because Mr. Hendrix made his appearance at only 34 weeks, just 3 weeks after these were taken in fact.

Hendrix has a special place in my heart, as he’s just three weeks older than my Lennie and they are pals.

He is a heart warrior, and they’ve known this since before he even entered the world. No child should have to go through what he’s gone through and I truly wish every child was born healthy. I hate to see him have to go through this, along with his oh-so tough parents. No parent should have to watch their child fight like he has either. He has one more surgery coming up next week, so let’s all wish Hendrix and his family the best going into it. He’s truly in great hands and his parents will be there for him every step of the way. I may be bias but he was blessed with the best mama!

I’m sure I’ll one day have more photos of Hendrix and his family to share, but for now, enjoy these lovely maternity photos!
