Ashley & Ryan's Wedding // 9.21.19 // Lighthouse Lodge - Monticello, IN

Yesterday I was honored to be able to capture Ashley and Ryan’s big day. I’ve loved these two since the day I met them. They brighten the room with their love and are both very joyful spirits.

When I first chatted with Ashley and Ryan I felt that we instantly connected, I was so ready to capture their love that I was nervous about Ashley having other photographers lined up to chat with (though i totally get it, I’m getting married next month and it’s a tough decision). They met with the other photographer and shortly after Ashley emailed me popping the question (will you be our wedding photographer, of course haha).

When I met them in Kokomo for their engagement session, I knew they were for some fun. They were both photo ready and trusted me to make their connection shine, which we certainly did. They told me about how they practice slow dancing in their kitchen and I was amazed that the things we see in romance novels and chick flicks are true sometimes.

These two soulmates finally tied the knot yesterday during an intimate wedding at The Lighthouse Lodge in Monticello. They had the most beautiful first look I’ve ever witnessed. They were both so overcome with emotion. Ryan told Ashley how amazing she looked and I’d have to agree (frickin stunning). Their vows didn’t disappoint either, which they wrote themselves.

Despite some minor setbacks, it was a perfect fall day. Slightly overcast, not to hot, nice breeze, everything you could ask for weather wise.

Their food was delicious and their guests created the best atmosphere for celebrating their love.

I enjoyed being a part of their day and hope to photograph them as they continue to grow and do life together. Cheers to Ashley & Ryan!!
