Max's Senior Session // Fishers High School CO 2020 // Downtown Fishers Indiana
I know Max’s family pretty well now after having his older sister, Emily, as a rep last year. Emily has also been friends with my little sister for a while, so it was super awesome when their mom asked me to do Max’s pictures as well. I also photographed their extended family session last fall. They are such a photogenic family!
He selected downtown Fishers as his session location, which I hadn’t visited in a while for a session. I was shocked to see just how much had been torn down for construction. Fishers is trying to create more of a city atmosphere and the loss of the majority of the downtown scenery was saddening. We worked around their ongoing construction that evening and still found some character that hasn’t been knocked down… yet. We even found a few new spots that they’ve constructed over the past few years. We chatted about the changes coming to the downtown area of the city as well as the destruction of the railroad.
We all agreed that it was neat that he had his photos done down there before they completely revamped the city to look new and updated. Not that new and updated is bad, but we will miss some of the old character that came before all the updates.
It’s not all that often I get to work with senior boys, although I have had more and more trust me with their senior pictures lately. They all end up saying that it was a better and more fun experience than they had anticipated. I try to make it as painless as possible. The better attitude the guys come in with, the better their photos turn out.
Thanks again to the Maersh family for being so great over the past few years, I am lucky to have clients like you that make my job so rewarding.
xoxo
