Abbey + Matt’s Dreamy and Fun Carmel Engagement Session
You may recognize Abbey + Matt from a model call session I did last year. But I am also doing their wedding this October so we finally got around to doing their “official” engagement session (comes with my wedding packages!!)
Abbey grew up down the street from my husband. We first met because used to drive my husband to and from school back in the day. I remember her being the cool senior girl who could drive (we were only sophomores at the time, hah!). If you told me that 11 years later I’d be photographing her wedding, I would have never believed you, but here we are and I could not be more excited!
Since I know them and we already did some “engagement” pictures last year - I really wanted to go outside the box with this session. I knew I’d do some standard traditional posing that y’all are used to seeing, but I also wanted them to be my guinea pigs for some new ideas and trials. I’d say it went really well. It also helped that we had the most perfect weather and sunset. And of course the Woosley hype squad always helps too! I’ve been a huge fan of photographers that really channel the storytelling side of photography, so that really inspired me with poses, angles, and movement. I sometimes get to a point where I feel I need to push myself outside my comfort zone in order to grow as a photographer and artist. And I am always glad I do!
So enjoy this experimental engagement session full of my usual stuff but also some playful, fun, and whimsical images. I hope you love them as much as I do + I hope to do many more engagement sessions like this in the future!
