Payton’s Summer Senior Session

Throwing it back to pre-maternity leave last year when I had the pleasure of photographing Fishers Highschool senior, Payton’s, session in Fortville! I’ve been meaning to share this gorgeous session on the blog for a while now but hoping maybe sharing it now will encourage a few more seniors to do their pictures in the summer instead of the fall. Don’t get me wrong, I do love fall… but there’s just something about summer sunset, wildflowers, and luscious greens. Also, as an added lil bonus, you have that nice fresh summer tan!!

I photographed Payton’s sister’s senior photos a while back at another popular wildflower spot so it was great to see them both again for these last summer. I love meeting the little siblings and catching up with the seniors I’ve photographed in the past; hearing what they are up to these days.

I now have people whose senior pictures I’ve taken getting married and that seems so unreal to me! The time has flown by, especially since 2020.

But anyways, we first hit up a spot Payton wanted to go, since she requested a barn backdrop for some. We then traveled to Flatfork Creek Park in the Fortville/Fishers area for the rest. The summer sunset did not disappoint of course!

I just absolutely loooove everything about senior sessions. I love working with subjects 1-on-1 and allowing them to feel great about themselves. I hope she still loves these photos as much as I did and had a wonderful graduation lately.

Also, Payton’s session is a wonderful example of how making different faces in the same pose can give you a larger gallery with more variety. You never know which may be your favorite until you get your photos back!
