This one was longggg awaited by me. When Abbey asked me to be their photographer, right after their engagement, I was beyond thrilled. They had a two year engagement so I was waiting literally a good while for this one BUT it went by so fast and was worth the wait. We also did two engagement sessions to build suspense haha. This was my first Tanner Drive wedding I got to photograph (if you know, you know) and I was pumped since I am normally a guest at Tanner Drive weddings.

From photographing this couple two times before their wedding (and looking at them) I knew they were not only a HOT photogenic couple but a hoot to be around too. These two were down for any of my crazy ideas to get interesting shots and I truly love that. It makes my job so much easier when people put their trust in me and go with the flow for engagements and weddings.

Their venue is one of my favorites! It was my second time there and I will be back next year & I cannot wait! Shoutout to The Bluffs at Conner Prairie, owned by the Ritz Charles, which you can never go wrong with! The ceremony spot has the most amazing light in the late afternoon/evening during the fall. It also has a lovely reception space with tons of natural light coming in the windows, but when the sun sets it is the perfect space to tear up the dance floor. I have yet to be at this venue in the summer so I can’t speak on that - however I will be next August so I will get back to you if it’s still one of my top venues after that. As a photographer, my top deciding factors on if I like venues or not is lighting and good photo spots. But I will say the Ritz Charles staff, catering, and how they run their venues has always been great in my experience.

On the topic of vendors for this wedding, I’d like to gush over the amazing florals, not only the bouquets, but the centerpieces and installations as well. Insanely gorgeous thanks to the lovely Eufloric Events. They even dropped off extras at the hotel for me to use for details which is always SO kind.

Another huge shoutout to THE BEST wedding cake I’ve ever tasted - Boone County Cake Co. - I will absolutely be making a trip up there to try more of their goodies because the two cake slices I tasted were heavenly. However, I was only taking quick bites of cake in between dancing photos because Mac Events was tearing it up, as always! He DJed my own wedding & I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

And last, but not least, I met Alexia of Christina Burton Events and have already recommended her to a few friends getting married in 2025 - and that says a lot because I will not recommend anyone if they didn’t do a phenomenal job!
